Flax Pond

The Greenbelt Trail
A proposed five-mile contiguous belt of forests, lakes, meadows, farmland, memorial parks and wetlands.

  • Call for the creation of the Greenbelt dated 1 June 2004.
  • Regional Map of Greenbelt. The Bottom of Stony Brook Harbor, owned by the State, is also part of the Greenbelt.
  • Portion of Greenbelt with Stony Brook Environmental Conservancy's proposed underpass access from Nicolls Rd to Flowerfield to conserve Clara's Woods.
